FO Friday - November 2, 2012

With all the excitement of Hallowe'en behind us, it's time to look ahead to Giftmas. I'll admit, I'm woefully behind on my Giftmas gift knitting, but at least I've got a bit of a start on Giftmas decoration knitting.

As you well know, I love knitting mini things. This includes mini-socks.

Slytherin minis

These are just so perfect for decorating your holiday tree/garland/wreath with, and are a seriously super fast, instant gratification project, not to mention the wonders it does to decrease your stash of sock yarn leftovers!

WIP Wednesday: July 18, 2012

Wow! I haven't done one of these in a while! Let's just dive straight in, shall we?

My current at work project (for knitting on my lunch hour) as another sweet little baby sweater.

I had lofty dreams of knitting one in colours to represent each of the houses in Harry Potter (yeah, I'm a geek), and this will be representative of Ravenclaw.

I've already got the one for Slytherin finished, I just need to get some buttons for it, so I won't be showing it off until I get that done.

On the sewing table, I won't say what it is just yet, but I'll give a little sneak peak:

This cotton is absolutely divine and I wish I had more of it! But alas, this will be the only project I get to make with it, so I guess I'll have to make it count :)

Check out more WIPs with Tami's Amis!

Have a great Wednesday everyone!

The Dementors Are Breeding

It's been crazy foggy in the mornings here all week. This reminded me of the Harry Potter books, when Fudge says that the Dementors are breeding and thats what's causing the cold misty weather.

I wanted to get the exact quote, so I googled "the Dementors are breeding" and the search turned up all kinds of hits of people musing about whether or not Dementors have sex, and if Dementors have the right parts to have sex with... and I won't say anymore as it went downhill from there.

The internet is a wonderful place, isn't it?

Anyhoo, this is what it looked like by where I live this morning.
